District Warehouse Manager
Location: Mississauga, Ontario
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Description:
This person will be responsible for the continual improvement and performance of multiple customer service center/warehouse locations. Also in this job, this person will be responsible for performance metrics across multiple locations, be able to develop talent in the organization and align resources to meet market conditions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Lead, direct, develop and manage customer service center/warehouse associates, including exempt, non-exempt and hourly personnel at remote locations.
- Responsible for the continual upgrading of personnel and performance through developed training, performance management, performance programs and the re-assignment or separation of those whose performance does not meet expectation.
- Accountability for regional operational performance in the following areas of cost, delivery, health and safety, property management, cost of quality, work standards, procedures and policies, safeguarding company assets, and customer satisfaction.
- Implementation of a high standard of customer service in the areas of order taking and customer problem solving.
- Development of annual budgets for the service centers in the region.
- Understand competition in the market. Analyze strengths & weaknesses and seek out opportunities.
- Work with Sales Managers & Sales Reps to establish appropriate service levels by market, customer and product, while achieving overall budget.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements And Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or completed College Diploma.
- Five plus years of related distribution/logistics management experience.
- Continuous Improvement experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- JD Edwards a plus.
- Advanced Analysis/Decision Making/Problem Solving Ability – ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Communication Skills – strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to provide feedback and coach individuals.
