Quality Manager

Location: Windsor, Ontario

Description Summary:

This role will coordinate and manage quality processes for Windsor Production facility. The successful candidate will be a highly analytic professional with strong root-cause problem solving skills that can manage effectively across various departments and functions.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage Quality Engineering team and shop floor Quality Control team
  • Analyze various forms of quality data to generate conclusions and recommendations for the operating organization, driving constant improvements in product quality.
  • Create and maintain measurement processes for quality Key Performance Indicators and communicate them effectively across the organization
  • Manage incoming material quality management processes.
  • Interact with product development and product marketing to define quality requirements and specifications for new products and new production methods.
  • Provide in-depth communication with Customer Service Management Team to clarify customer feedback and concerns, driving specific actions in the manufacturing facility.
  • Create and implement standard procedures and systematic approaches for Quality Management across the facility.
  • Coordinate actions and procedures with other manufacturing facilities.
  • Must be highly skilled at prioritizing actions through extensive data analysis.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering
  • Black Belt Certification considered a definite asset
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing in a manufacturing quality environment
  • CQE Certification preferred
Experience:

A minimum of 5-8 years of experience, preferably with a world-class manufacturer. Must have clearly demonstrated problem solving skills, Engineering Design skills and Project Management skills. Good written communication skills with above average verbal communication skills. Computer skills, including CAD. Project Management, Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, DOE, Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing, ergonomic manual assembly workstation design, process flow, material handling, assembly fixture design.

This individual will be hands-on, assertive and motivated to ensure the company meets its aggressive goals. Incumbent will have a passion for excellence in people, processes and analytics. This is a hands-on position that will require a self-motivated, high energy level individual.
